There’s nothing like a sweaty summer workout to make you feel energized and strong. Whether you’re spending your time running, biking, swimming, hiking, kayaking, or doing one of the many other fun summer activities, staying hydrated will not only help you get through your workout, but also help you to recover and feel good the rest of the day. Rather than focusing on the number of cups of water you drink, monitor your urine to know if you’re hydrated — it should be pale yellow (anything darker, you need to drink more!) and you should need to urinate every 2 hours or so.

Tired of drinking just water all day long? There are lots of ways to help you get to your fluid needs throughout the day. Check them out on Runner’s Plate today.

Happy Hydrating!
